In my internship, my CT allows call outs and sarcasm in the classroom. I am the most sarcastic person in the world, but sometimes I feel as though she can not get through a lesson because she is allowing these students to call out and make jokes every 5 seconds. How can I show her this is a distraction for most students? Also, how will I be able to stop this when I go to teach in her classroom?
If I were in this situation, I would exactly do this.
This solution seems like the best course of action with clarifying expectations with your students.
yes i agree don't bash her for her classroom just make notes so you know what not to do in your classroom
Taking notes about things you do or don't want to implement will help when you start teaching in your own classroom. Looking back on your internship notes can remind yourself and your goals in classroom management.
