Explaining the difference in opinion would be important here. As student's go throughout life they will encounter a multitude of opinions, it is important that they can hear others opinions without overreacting. Humanity struggles with this in general. However, seeing other's perspectives is a skill that should be learned early on. You don't have to agree with someone to sit and discuss something.
