Co-Teacher Issues

I know a teacher who does not get along with their co-teacher. They are worried that this will translate to the students, if it hasn't already. How can they figure out a solution?

I believe a simple conversation may help handle this situation. If the issues are severe enough for the students to notice then the adults must talk it out. After trying a conversation, I would bring the issue to administration if it continues.

I agree, having something related to a simple conversation as adults does wonders. We have to remain professional at all times.

Sitting down with the two of them and having a mediator of sorts should help the two keep the professional setting professional. Otherwise, like others have said, communication is key!

I agree! Sitting down and talking it out is best, especially before it could get worse.

Simply by having a sit-down with one another, after school, and brainstorming and airing their grievances, whatever they may be. And working to come to an agreement regarding how they act in front of their class.

Take the co-teacher to the side alongside the teacher and settle out their differences. Try to come into an agreement for both of them to work in harmony. We can't risk having our students be affected by such things.

Teachers should be able to communicate with each other and have an adult conversation. No matter what, they shouldn't let their relationship affect their teaching or affect their relationship with their students.

The teachers should attempt to discuss the issues they face with a medeator. It may be best to bring administration in, depending on the severity of the situation.

In this situation communication is important. The dynamic of the teachers is going to affect the class and students directly so it's important they are on the same page. I would talk to the teacher and try to come to a compromise, if that didn't work i would ask my superior for help.

I agree that having a conversation would be the best starting point, if the relationship doesn't get better from there I would maybe try to be professional and civil towards each other in school, if it gets worse in front of students I would then go to the principal with concerns.
