Kasey recently had four of her students randomly switched to a relief class. One of the switched students' parents contacted Kasey explaining that she is not happy with the switch. The parent explains that she believes the switch will disrupt the momentum the student has worked hard to build. Kasey Forwards the email to her grade level AP who tells Kasey to respond that the switch was random and the new teacher would be working closely with all previous teachers to meet the needs of all students. The parent responds that she is not happy with the explanation and would like her student switched back. What should be done to appease the parent without being unfair to other requests that were denied?
Excellent suggestion!
Great suggestion. The parent must go to the administration because it sounds like it's out of the teachers hands.
Great suggestion
Great suggestion. The student was taken out of her familiar environment.
This seems like a good solution. Keeping the student's needs in mind is important.
