Mrs. Hopkins, a US Government teacher, tells her students to study the lessons that they will be going over in class and come up with two questions to ask in class. She tells to her students that if their two questions aren't answered during the lesson in class, they can ask them at the end of the period. Her students that do this continuously score high on all tests and quizzes, whereas, her students that don't do this score lower. What can she do to get all of her students to use this method of studying?
To ensure that students questions are answered, she could have students submit the questions as they come in to class. This can be done electronically through various programs. She could also have students asked each other the questions.
I like the idea of having students ask each other questions. That way students are required to have questions in order to be able to contribute to the discussion.
