Posting Cases

  • Post a Case: If you have a question or a problem, post it as a case. Provide as much detail as possible to help others understand the issue.
  • Browse and Search: Look through existing cases. You might find that someone else has already asked something similar, and there might be solutions available.
Offering Solutions

If you have a solution or a suggestion for a case, you can post it. Here's how:

  • Respond to Cases: You can offer your knowledge or experience in response to a case.
  • Respect and Constructiveness: We encourage solutions that are respectful, well-thought-out, and constructive.
Commenting and Discussing

Each solution can be further discussed through comments. This is where you can:

  • Clarify: Ask questions about a solution to understand it better.
  • Contribute: Offer additional information or an alternative viewpoint.
Rating System

Our community-driven rating system is at the heart of ensuring the quality and relevance of solutions. Here's how it works:

  • Vote on Solutions: You can upvote a solution if you find it useful or downvote it if you think it's not helpful.
  • Earning Points: Your contributions to the platform, be it posting cases, solutions, or valuable comments, earn you points. These points reflect your participation and credibility within the community.
Case Closed and Top Solution Algorithm

Our platform is committed to providing the most effective solutions to the cases posted by our users. To ensure this, we have implemented a robust algorithm that identifies top solutions and determines when a case should be considered solved. Here are the key elements of our algorithm:

Identifying Top Solutions
  1. Solution Voting: Each solution to a case can be upvoted or downvoted by users. These votes reflect the community's opinion on how effective the solution is.
  2. Vote Counting: For each solution, we calculate its net votes. This is done by subtracting the number of downvotes from the upvotes.
  3. Selecting Top Solutions: We then compare the vote counts of all solutions. Solutions with a vote count within a 10% margin of the highest vote count are initially considered as potential top solutions. However, a solution must have a minimum of 20 votes to be eligible as a top solution. This approach allows us to recognize multiple valuable contributions.
  4. Recognition: Solutions that meet these criteria are flagged as "Top Solutions" on our platform, and the contributors are awarded points for their significant input.
Closing a Case
  1. Case Review: Once top solutions are identified, our algorithm then reviews the case to determine if it can be marked as solved. A case must have at least three solutions to be eligible for closure.
  2. Majority Vote Rule: A case is eligible to be marked as solved if the top solution(s) have more than 50% of the total votes cast across all solutions. This ensures that the majority of the community agrees on the effectiveness of the top solution(s).
  3. Time Constraint: After a top solution is identified, we wait for 30 days to see if any new solutions emerge that significantly challenge the existing top solution(s). If no such solutions appear within this period, and the top solution(s) still hold the majority vote, the case is marked as solved.
  4. Case Closure: When a case is solved, no further solutions can be submitted. This helps keep the focus on quality solutions and prevents an overload of redundant responses.
